This morning my wife and I were discussing her morning Bible study about the original Passover and Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt. During our discussion, it occurred to me that the situation we find ourselves in here in America is a lot like the one Moses and the Israelites found themselves in under the Egyptians. The Egyptians, in a simplistic way, equate to the power centers in America today. We have the financial power focused on the East coast and the technical empires on the West Coast and middle America lies almost forgotten between the two coasts.
Like the Israelites, Americans have found hope and promise in a new leader. The current power structure is not happy with this leader because he threatens their world of amoral hedonistic unimpeded sovereignty. The common American has been asked to “make more bricks with less straw,”—that is, the shrinking middle class has been ask to live on less and less income, while the lower classes have disappeared into deeper poverty, drugs and violence.
Out of this malaise a leader has emerged and like Moses he comes from those in power and again like Moses he is not without sin nor is he perfect. However, I believe he has been chosen to lead us back to our core values as a nation. The journey to the hypothetical “Promise Land” will not be easy. I am sure there will be cries like. “at least as slaves we could eat,” and I am sure there will be back sliding and revolt along the way, but we are on a clear path to make American great again and even more importantly, we are on a course to put the United States back under the grace of God.
The man chosen to lead us on this Journey is Donald J. Trump—he needs all our prayers and support.
This morning while perusing comments of people posting on Facebook this post jumped out at me:
“When a person supports Hillary it has to raise questions of their allegiance, intelligence, dependence, character and most of all their FAITH.”

It is particularly apropos to me right now because I have been struggling with how Christians can support abortion of any kind. Let alone the practice of partial birth abortion. Many scriptures have flashed through my mind about judging others and how it is wrong. I also have been studying the history of man and his relationships with God from a Christian prospective and it has become clear that whenever man is left to his own devices, he sinks to the lowest levels of morality. At the low points hedonism, hate, murder and general debauchery reign.
Other indications of this fall from grace are the treatment of women and children, idolatry, child sacrifice, male and female prostitution and more. A common factor is all of this is corrupt leadership. I read and see every day more facts about the corruption of Hillary and Bill Clinton. I have also read about Hillary’s plans to attach Catholics and Evangelical Christians. How she supports third trimester abortions. I honestly do not understand how a Christian can vote for Hillary Clinton.
It is Saturday morning, the day after the “sequester” went into effect and all is quiet. There is an air of peace that hasn’t been felt since before the elections of 2008.
Having experienced this peace this morning reminds me that President Obama’s job before becoming president was a Neighborhood Agitator and he was very good at it. It seems to me that he has kept our country in constant agitation since he first hit the national stage. I am enjoying this morning knowing it will not last, knowing that some new scheme to divide and agitate the American people is probably being dreamed up by the President as America sleeps.
